Blood Bowl Skaven

I played a demo a few months back and I really liked Blood Bowl. After that I modeled up my team from plastic Skaven sets but then let them sit. Coming up at my local GW Hobby Center is their first Blood Bowl Campaign, so I decided to stop being lazy and finish my team. I played 1 more game and did well, and the only real problem I am having is deciding whether or not to include a Rat Ogre in my starting lineup for my League Team. If you have any input, or any other Skaven related Blood Bowl advice, I would love to hear it!

The current starting lineup of the yet unnamed Skaven team is:

4 Gutter Runners
2 Blitzers
1 Thrower
4 Linemen
3 Rerolls
1 Apothecary

  1. Been watching you do this on Twitter. Great stuff

  2. I have 2 more star players, another Linerat, assistant coaches and a cheerleader, and some counters to go and they will all be finished. I will probably use Giant Rats and other bits as counters.

  3. No specific Skaven advice.. as long as your Gutter Runners can stay alive you should have no problem scoring.

I know my leaguemate's team he always takes leap, wrestle, and strip ball on at least one or two of them. Makes it hard to keep the ball in a cage.

I wouldn't start with a Rat Ogre but get one when you can. He adds plenty of punch to your defense.

  4. Yeah starting Rat Ogres are pretty fail. Multiple Gutter Runners and Blitzers tend to do well. I'm a big fan of BBowl and was pretty torn on Skaven or Dwarfs for a Team last year at ACon. I went Dwarf, but Skaven are pretty hot.
